CN235 aircraft PTDI, Airs in Nepal, Thailand and Senegal

REPUBLIKA. CO. ID, BANDUNG--PT Dirgantara Indonesia (IN) sent order one unit of aircraft type CN235-220 Military Transport for Nepal Army, Wednesday (30/10).

The company conducted a ferry flight from the PT DI hangar to Kathmandu, Nepal which was planned to arrive on Saturday (2/11).

Capt. Esther Gayatri Saleh as a pilot conducting aircraft tests and Copilot Ervan Gustanto flew a plane from Husein Sastranegara Airport to Medan, Yangon, Myanmar continued to Dhaka, Bangladesh and flew back to Kathmandu, Nepal.

The aircraft will also be tested by the Nepalese Army.

THE President Director of PTDI, Elfien Goentoro said delivery of the CN235 aircraft was carried out under the Nepalese Army contract in 2017. He claimed to be grateful for sending domestic-made aircraft at the right time.

"So this aircraft is multi role, can be used for army transport or paratroop and also for VIP and also cargo, " He said, Wednesday (30/10). He added that configuration mode completeness facility was first shipped to Nepal via cargo.

He said the contract value of approximately 30 million aircraft. While the value of aircraft can be influenced by auto parts and other needs. "One unit (ordered), the next InsyAllah," he said.

It earned Rp 400 billion of financing funds from the Indonesian Export Financing Institute for Exports to Africa. While Nepal is around Rp 207 billion.

"In addition to the Senegal-funded Nepal, plan next year we want delivery to Senegal. That's for CN235, transport too, "he said. While the next two weeks will send to Thailand including the previous with different aircraft types.

"So later this year we export three planes. For domestic we will already deliver his plans to Basarnas as well, "he said.
